Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. Our ideal candidate should have a passion for dentistry, strong communication skills, and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform expanded functions including but not limited to: coronal polishing, placing and removing dental dams, placing and carving restorations, and administering local anesthesia under the direction of the dentist

• Assist the dentist during procedures by anticipating their needs and providing support as needed

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment

• Manage patient records, including updating medical history and treatment plans

• Take dental X-rays as needed

• Help maintain a clean and organized dental practice

Qualifications:

• Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant

• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Proficiency in dental software and computer skills
