Tell us a little about yourself (where you are from, how you got into the field you are in, and time at Freedom Dental Care).
I grew up in Woodbine, MD and attended Lisbon, Glenwood, and Glenelg High School. In addition to being a General Manager here at Freedom, I work in the Howard County Public School System Career Center as a Library Media Specialist. I was in the discussion of starting Freedom Dental Care since day one, back in 2011. I can remember sitting around with Julia (Dr. B), picking out colors, furniture and more for the office. I even remember taking our very first phone call, which I answered while at the pool in Ocean City! Boy how time flies!
What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?
Share an experience with a patient that has made a lasting impression on you.
I remember a patient that was very fearful of the dentist and was calling to back out of an upcoming appointment. I reassured him that he was going to be in great hands at our office, so he kept the appointment. Months later, I saw him again and he was so appreciative of my encouragement and stated that visiting us has "changed [his] life." That was an amazing experience.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The favorite part of my job is being able to see all of our amazing team members doing what they love and watching the office flow naturally.
What is a little known talent you have unrelated to your profession?
A little know talent that I have is being able to play disc golf pretty well.
