Teenagers-Adults

What to expect at your first visit

During your initial appointment at Freedom Dental Care, your hygienist will take digital X-rays of your mouth. Then your hygienist will check your teeth for decay using a laser-assisted detection device called Diagnodent®. Diagnodent discovers decay before it can even be seen by the naked eye! These processes are very helpful to us; they allow us to provide you with conservative treatment in the future.

After your X-rays and Diagnodent check-up, your hygienist will measure your gums to determine which type of dental cleaning is right for you. After your cleaning or periodontal therapy, our dentists will discuss your medical history with you, examine your teeth, mouth, and jaw, and answer any questions you may have about your dental treatment.

We hope you leave every visit feeling fully-informed about your dental health and treatment options.

Children

What to expect at your first visit

We love treating kids’ dental needs. We always take the time to make sure our younger patients are comfortable before we start treatment. Our new patient kid’s visit includes:

  • Comprehensive Examination

  • Digital X-rays

  • Fluoride Treatment

  • Professional Cleaning

  • Periodontal Evaluation

  • Wisdom Teeth Evaluation

After the exam and cleaning, our dentists will discuss the findings with a parent or legal guardian. They will also address any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s future dental care and treatment. Please allow approximately one hour for your child’s first visit.

And, don’t forget to stop by the treasure chest at the end of your child’s appointment so he or she can pick out a prize!
