IT'S NATIONAL DENTIST'S DAY, so we thought it would be a great day to share some interesting tidbits about Dr. Burchett and Dr. Patton, thought you’d find them interesting!!
How old were you, and what made you decide you wanted to become a Dentist?
Dr. Burchett - "I was in high school when I knew that I wanted to be a Dentist. I had an opportunity to work in Dr. Ginsburg's office in Catonsville as a tech. I knew that caring for people and seeing the smiles on his patients faces was very rewarding, so I continued my education from that point forward with a focus on becoming a Dentist.
Dr. Patton - "I’ve always wanted to be a dentist since I was very young. I always enjoyed my trips to the dentist and decided at a very young age that’s what I wanted to be when I grew up."
Where did you attend school and how long have you been practicing?
Dr. Burchett - "University of MD - BCDS class of 2008."
Dr. Patton - " I attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. I’ve been practicing for 9 years."
What advice would you give to a young person considering a career in Dentistry?
Dr. Burchett - "It's a rewarding and fun career to get into, I love getting to know my patients and helping them restore health."
Dr. Patton - "Becoming a dentist is a lot of hard work and dedication but it’s all worth it in the end."
What is one thing you find most satisfying about being a Dentist?
Dr. Burchett - "Patient Care and Problem Solving."
Dr. Patton - "Seeing the smile on a patient's face after you have treated them, whether it be helping them get out of pain or helping them reach the smile they’ve always wanted."
